Do Not Sell
Do Not Sell or Share My Info
Last updated: 2026-08-16
US state privacy law — California’s CCPA/CPRA and its counterparts elsewhere — gives you a right to opt out of the ‘sale’ or ‘sharing’ of your personal information for advertising. What follows is how that operates on weldworknow.com.
The Practice in Question
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we never have. What can happen is narrower: where advertising is served on this site, advertising cookies and device identifiers may be made available to advertising partners. The statutory definitions of ‘sale’ and ‘sharing’ are wide enough to capture that arrangement, so we treat it as opt-out-able rather than argue about the label. It applies across the whole of weldworknow.com and to every reader of our coverage of Weldworknow.
The Effect of Opting Out
After you opt out, targeted advertising ceases but advertising may not. The site itself is unchanged — no content is locked, no feature is removed, and no reader is disadvantaged for having exercised the right.
How to Exercise This Right
Easiest first: switch on Global Privacy Control in your browser settings or via an extension — it is detected and honoured on every page load, automatically. Failing that, use the cookie banner where shown, or email hello@weldworknow.com, subject line ‘Do Not Sell or Share’. We never require an account to process an opt-out.
Other state-law rights are described in the State Privacy Notice.
